These cards represent the personalities and strategic roles within the League—the four stages of Mastery for each elemental energy. Knowing their function dictates how the Suit’s energy is applied in any given situation.

| Pages | The Student/Messenger. Representing young energy, new beginnings, or a tangible message arriving in the Suit’s domain. | The announcement of a new passion (Page of Wands) or the first step in a financial plan (Page of Pentacles). |
| Knights | The Agent of Action. Representing movement, pursuit, or rapid change. This energy is often focused, but can be excessive or reckless. | Aggressive pursuit of a goal (Knight of Wands) or swift confrontation (Knight of Swords). |
| Queens | Nurturing Mastery. Representing inward, receptive, and nurturing expression of the Suit’s energy.
